Rare film footage of eventual screen legend and four time Best Actress Academy Award winner Katharine Hepburn dressed as Pandora in the May Day parade at Bryn Mawr College in 1928. Hepburn’s parents were at the event and Kate later recalled that her father, Dr.
Thomas Hepburn, who very much disapproved of her acting aspirations, only noticed her bare feet getting dirty as she walked in the parade and her face getting sun burnt and freckled in the bright spring daylight. Katharine turned twenty-one on May 12th, 1928, a few days after this footage was captured.
